About Get A-Head
Get A-Head is a Charity dedicated to raising money for those affected by cancer and other diseases of the head and neck through either research, education or the purchasing of vital equipment. In its 14th year now, it has been able to raise over £2 million they have come along way in realising their goals but are not there yet!
Founded in January 1994 by John Watkinson (Helen's doctor) and Adrian Drake-Lee, with considerable help from Peter Scudamore, the late Roy Castle and Dr Hillary Jones, Get A-Head has reached the beginning of a new chapter in the charities history, with a relaunch planned for 5th May 2008. Many people work for and volunteer their time to help Get A-Head in its work, based primarily in the Midlands.
